What’s A Website Builder ?

Website builders are tools, programs or software used to design/ develop websites without manual code writting and editing. These tools or software are provided by web services companies. These tools are typically created for users such as web developers/ designers or even the average person to create their websites. Some of these tools are commercial (paid software) or open source, OSS (Computer software with its source code made available with a license in which the copyright holder provides the rights to study, change, and distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose. Open-source software may be developed in a collaborative public manner.)

Also, a website builder software may be described as a CMS (Content Management Systems). A content management system (CMS) is a computer application that allows publishing, editing, modifying, organizing, deleting, and maintaining content from a central interface. These systems provide procedures to manage workflow in a collaborative environment. For example: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento… etc. Other website builders or applications also run on a computer, creating pages offline and which can be published on a server or hosting service. For example: Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Expression Web… etc.
